How It Began…
Hi, I’m Gavin, and you could sum up my career in two words... Computers and Music. I’ve been passionate about websites since way back in 1999 - when you could actually call Google and chat with someone about your site rankings! Several years into my career as a professional musician and composer, when my music publishing business needed a website, I decided to build it myself.
Soul Music Made Me Do It…
Award For Innovation…
That website won a government e-commerce award in 2003 for its innovative technology. It was a music download site for TV and media producers - before smartphones and when broadband was still rare in the UK. People thought I was crazy: “No one’s going to download music - it takes hours!” But it worked, and the website ran successfully for over 10 years selling worldwide.
In 2013, I discovered Wix when building a website for a soul band, and it was a game-changer. Until then I hand-coded every website I built. With Wix, I loved (and still love) its simplicity, how it effortlessly makes sites look great on any device, and the way it seamlessly handles daily security and hosting updates. I’ve been using Wix exclusively since then on my web projects.
